Mark Janey

Mark Janey, age 68, of St. Cloud MN passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at his home. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Little Falls, MN, with Father Ben Kociemba officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at church.

Mark Thomas Janey was born June 15, 1956 Little Falls, Minnesota to the late Phillip and Evangaline (Lange) Janey. He grew up on the family farm with his brothers and sisters. He attended Swanville High School and graduated in 1974. Throughout his life, Mark worked at a variety of jobs including working at Franklin Manufacturing refrigerators. 

Mark enjoyed spending his time outdoors fishing, biking, and walking. He was an avid cook who would create his own recipes from scratch, often making creative combinations and adding lots of spice to his dishes. He was also known to spend his time doing crossword puzzles and reading. Mark was a frequent visitor of the St. Cloud Library. Some of his favorites to check out were the New York Times and Stephen King novels. Mark was a big fan of all sport and enjoyed playing pool at the Whittney Center. He would volunteer with the Salvation Army and had many friends in St. Cloud. 

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Patrick (Kathy) Janey of Little Falls, Kevin (Anita) Janey of Little Falls, Jeffrey (Rosie) Janey of Little Falls; sisters, Mary Ann (Pete) Klemmer of Albany, Sharon (Dan) Klisch of Clear Lake; sisters in-law Anita Janey of St. Joseph, Mary Janey of Litchfield, Mary Ann Janey of St. Cloud; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evangaline (Lange) Janey, and Phillip Janey; brothers, Gerald Janey, Gary Janey, and Phillip Janey Jr.
