Mark J. Grosso, 45 year old resident of Isanti, MN formerly of Little Falls, MN died Monday, December 26 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29 at 11:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. David Sperstad and Rev. Tony Oltmann officitaing. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to11:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church on Thursday, December 29. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. Mark J. Grosso was born January 26, 1966 in Little Falls, MN to Jon and Diane (Yugovich) Grosso. He attended school in Little Falls, MN and graduated with the class of 1984. While in high school, Mark golfed for Little Falls and was a state tournament participant. Mark attended Central Lakes College in Brained, MN. He was a member of the Central Lakes College golf team and was a national tournament participant. He enlisted in the United States Army on September 4, 1987 in Minneapolis, MN and was discharged on September 4, 1989 in Fort Lewis, WA. During his active duty, Mark received the following awards: the Army Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Button, Expert Qualification Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Expert Infantry Badge and the Army Achievement Medal. After his discharge, Mark lived in the state of Washington where he attended Bates Technical College in Tacoma. He received an Associate of Arts Degree in Civil Engineering. Mark worked for the Telephone Directory and Simpson Paper while living in Tacoma. He returned to Minnesota and was currently living in Isanti, MN, where he was working for Taski Machine since August of 2011. Mark enjoyed golfing, reading, re-connecting with friends on facebook and spending time with his family, especially his children. He was a passionate Minnesota Vikings fan. Mark was very thankful and appreciative for everything in life. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Travis Devon Grosso of Tacoma, WA, Courtney Michelle Grosso of Isanti, MN; wife, Angela Goins of Everett, Washington; parents, Jon and Diane Grosso of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Michelle Parker and fiance, Joe Wiczek of Little Falls, MN, Leeanne Grosso-Silbernick and husband, Kevin Silbernick of Little Falls, MN; granddaughter, Mia Marie; nieces and nephews, Samantha Parker, Tony Parker and wife, Amy, Dusty Parker, Lance Wiczek and Leah Wiczek. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Peter and Margaret Grosso; maternal grandparents, Mike and Norma Yugovich and an uncle, Albert Grosso. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Joe Hayden, Kelly Nagel, Lisa Schmiesing. Casket Bearers will be: Tim Hanowski, Brian Lindquist, Jeff Hubbard, Rick Poplinski, Brad Gillingham, Shawn McLain.
