Mark Bauer

Mark Edward Bauer, 31 year old resident of Buckman/Little Rock, MN. Son of Gerald "Butch" and Mary Jane Bauer, died Tueday at the St. Cloud Hospital as the result of injuries from a farm accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN, with Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 9:00 P.M. Friday, May 14, 2010, at and Saturday 9:00 - 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 15, 2010 all at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman. There will be a Rosary at 4:30 P.M. Litany of the Saints at 7:00 P.M. and Parish Prayers at 7:30 P.M. Mark Edward Bauer was born on January 7, 1979 in Little Falls, MN the son of Gerald "Butch" & Mary Jane (Opatz) Bauer. He grew up on a farm in Buckman Township and attended Royalton Public School, graduating with the Class of 1997. Following his schooling he was employed at Golden Plump in Sauk Rapids. He then went to work with his brother, Wade at Little Rock Custom Cabinets and the family farm and was still working at both places. Mark was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed sitting in the woods on his many deer stands, planting trees, working with animals, and loving all of the outdoors. Mark especially enjoyed and loved his niece and nephews. Mark loved helping other people and was always there for his friends and family. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Gerald "Butch" & Mary Jane Bauer of Little Rock, MN; siblings, Todd Bauer of Little Rock, Wade (Missy Waddell) of Little Rock, Kurt Bauer of Little Rock, Shelly (Ashley) Schraut of Little Rock and Shaun (Stephanie) Bauer of Clear Lake, MN; niece, Whitney Schraut; nephews, Spencer Bauer and Brody Waddell; dear friend, Jacob Hoheisel; grandmothers, Helen Bauer of Little Falls and Verena Opatz of Little Falls and aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. Mark was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lawrence Bauer and Edward Opatz.
