Marie M. Posch, age 81 of Little Falls, MN passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday June 12th) at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery in Belle Prairie. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and Tuesday from 8:00-10:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be said at 5:30 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral chapel. Marie M. Posch was born November 3, 1925 in Brockway Township, Stearns County, MN to the late John and Mary (Wiatrak) Stegura. She grew up in Brockway Township where she attended school. At the age of 15 years, Marie moved to Minneapolis, MN where she worked various jobs. She was united in marriage to Benedict D. Posch on November 24, 1945 at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. Following their marriage, Marie & Ben lived in Minneapolis, MN for two years. They moved to Little Falls where they farmed in Belle Prairie Township. Marie worked as a homemaker and cared for her children. In 1968, the couple sold their farm and built a new home northeast of Little Falls in Belle Prairie Township. Marie worked several jobs and then as a Dietary Aide and cook for eighteen years at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls until her retirement in 1985. In 1994, Marie and Ben sold their home in rural Belle Prairie and moved to the City of Little Falls where she resided until her death. Marie enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, gardening, fishing, bowling, camping and traveling. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls and a former member of the Holy Family Christian Mothers at Belle Prairie. Marie is survived by her husband Benedict "Ben;" daughters, Beverly Eppler of Racine, WI, Diane Norton of Apple Valley, MN, Jane Anderson & husband, Curtis, of Rice, MN, Joan Seelen & husband, Donald, of Cambridge, MN; son, David Posch & wife, Joanie Lee, of Dresser, WI; brother, Joseph Stegura & wife, Philomine, of St. Joseph, MN; grandchildren, Tina Kobriger, Brian Norton, Curtis Seelen, Bradley Seelen, Lindsay Posch and Daniel Posch; great-grandchildren, Drew Norton, Lawson Kobriger and Benedict Seelen. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Mary (Wiatrak) Stegura; brothers, John, Leo, Stephen, Walter & Stanley Stegura; sisters, Helen Fedor, Victoria Paggen, Josephine Hervey, Cecelia Posch, Clarine Kollege, a twin sister, Eleanor Jacobson, Irene Berscheid & Delores Juntunen and a granddaughter, Nicolette Norton. Honorary Pallbearers are Marie's grandchildren, Tina Kobriger, Brian Norton, Curtis Seelen, Bradley Seelen, Lindsay Posch & Daniel Posch. Casketbearers are Donny Posch, Kenny Berscheid, Jim Stegura, Terry Posch, Jeff Vandenheuvel, Dickie Paggen & Ron Jacobson.
