Marie M. Baron, lifelong resident of Morrison County, Minnesota, died Monday, July 27 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Holy Trinity Church, Royalton, MN, with Rev. Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 31st and 12:00 Noon - 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 1st at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton, MN. There will be a Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by the Third Order of St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Born in Buckman, Minnesota on May 25, 1922, Marie was the thirteenth of sixteen children of Andrew and Anna (Trath) Gall. On October 22, 1941, she married the late Frank J. Baron. They made their home at the Baron farm two miles east of Royalton. Marie was a member of the Christian Mothers, the Daughters of Isabella, the Third Order of St. Francis and the Catholic Aid Association. In addition to her hard work on the farm, she worked more than 20 years as an inspector and overseer at the Munsingwear plant in Little Falls and still found time for her beloved rose bushes, quilting, and needlework. She is survived by her son James (Christine) Baron of Williamsburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Julie Baron (Derek Nash), Katrina Anton (Matthew Anton), John (Heather), Michael, and Brigit Cain (Michael Cain), and one great granddaughter, Mia Margaret Nash; brother, Carl of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and sisters, Rose Bauer of Hastings, Minnesota and Clara Collins ofLos Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna (Trath) Gall; husband, Frank J. Baron (June 9, 2003); brothers Wendelin, Andrew, Joseph, Edward, Rev. Sylvester, Matthew, Ewald, John and Urban, and sisters Mathilda, Anna and Zita.
