Marie Eckblad

Marie Eckblad, 95 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Cushing Baptist Church in Cushing, MN. Marie Lackore was born May 5, 1913 in Little Falls, MN to the late Raymond and Nellie (Beaver) Lackore. She graduated from the Little Falls High School in 1930 and spent two years at Mounds Midway School of Nursing. Marie was united in marriage to Rudolph Eckblad on July 12, 1935 then resided to Cushing where they resided for 46 years. She worked in the office for Munsingwear for 24 years retiring in 1975. Marie was a member of the Cushing Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, cooking, knitting and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jeanne M. Anderson and her husband, Roger, of Truth of Consequence, NM; sister, Ada Highland of Summerset, KT; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Nellie Lackore; brother, Vance Lackore and Commander Raymond Clayton Lackore, II.
