Marie Curtis

Marie Curtis, 78 year old resident of Rapid City, South Dakota formerly of Cushing, MN died, Monday, April 7 at the Golden Living Center in Rapid City. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN, with Chaplain Gregg Valentine officiating. The burial will be held at the Cushing Union Cemetery in Cushing, MN.Friends may gather from 12:00 until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service.

Marie was born June 16, 1935 in Waubay, SD to Arthur and Evelyn (Kause) Olsen. She was raised in Cushing, MN and graduated from Little Falls Community High School. Marie was united in marriage to Floyd Curtis on September 11, 1954. The couple moved to Minneapolis, MN and raised their 4 children, Gerald, Donald, Darlene and Sandra. Marie is survived by her children, Donald, Darlene and Sandra; 12 grandchildren, Brian, Brad and Shaun Curtis, Joseph Okan and Jennifer Curtis-England, Martin, Laura and Nicholas Ostrom, Christen Shelton-Burg, Jacqueline Shelton, Matthew and Ashley Curtis and 2 great-grandchildren, Emily Curtis and Dominic England. She was preceded by her parents; husband, Floyd; son, Gerald and a brother.
