Margaret "Peggy" Trettel

Margaret (Peggy) Mary Trettel was born in Little Falls, MN, on New Years Day, 1948, to Clarence and Isabelle (Wozniak) Trettel.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18th, at Holy Cross Church in North Prairie, where she was a life-long member.Interment will be in the parish cemetery.After many years of illness, our Lord called her home on July 14, 2013.Peggys health made it necessary for her to reside in a number of nursing homes over the years, most recently at Good Shepherd in Sauk Rapids since 2003.Peggy attended elementary school in North Prairie and graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls in 1965.She then furthered her education by graduating from the clerk typist program at St. Cloud Area Vocational-Technical School in 1967.After brief employment in a couple jobs, she was unable to work due to health issues.Peggy enjoyed watching TV, especially the Vikings, Twins, Nascar, news, and politics.She particularly liked to have a good laugh watching Laurel and Hardy or The Three Stooges.She listened to Christmas music all year long.She was extremely proud of her nieces and nephews, and in more recent years, it was her little great-nieces and great-nephews that put a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.

She is survived by her siblings, Patricia (Marvin) Sowada of Columbia Heights, Kathleen Trettel-Lewis of Nashville, TN, Benedict (Irene) Trettel of North Prairie, Gertrude (Craig) Corkery of Lockport, IL, Beatrice Manka of Cushing, Aloysius (Nancy) Trettel of North Pole, AK and Adelaide Trettel of Robbinsdale; ten nieces; five nephews, four great-nieces; seven great-nephews, and many other relatives.

Her parents, a sister, Virginia Trettel and brothers-in-law, Dr. William Lewis and Rupert Manka preceded her in death.
