Margaret "Peggy" Kleinschmidt

Margaret "Peggy" Kleinschmidt, age 77, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, following a long battle against Alzheimer's.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service, 900 1st Street SE, Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls

Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Margaret Ann (Norton) Kleinschmidt was born on February 22, 1937, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Walter E. & Esther L. (Willcox) Norton. She moved to Little Falls in 1940 with her family and graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1957. She met Eddie in 1955 and they married in 1958. Along with raising her 5 children, Peg enjoyed playing bingo and dancing. Peg also drove bus for Little Falls Schools and Head Start Program. Her family will always remember her as a loving mother and wife.She had a great sense of humor and would kid around with everyone. She was a member of the Little Falls V.F.W., St. Mary's Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Edward of 56 years; children, Brenda (Scott) Nason of Louisville, KY, Linda (Tom) Kliber of Little Falls, MN, Rebecca (Rich Wallin) Kleinschmidt of Rice, MN, Ann Marie (Arnold) Taranto of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Catherine (Gerald) Golden of Royalton, MN, Richard Norton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Ester Norton; son, Mark Kleinschmidt; sisters, Barbara Norton, Stella Hampeys, June Norcross, Helen Moreno; brothers, Don, Ross, Paul, Bill, James and Walter Norton; and a infant grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in Peg's name.
