Madeline Voigt, 90 year old resident of Pierz, MN, died Tuesday, March 12 at the Pierz Villa Nursing Home in Pierz, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 16 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud, MN on Monday, March 18 at 10:00 A.M. Friends may gather from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 15 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:00-10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Christian Mothers and the American Legion Auxiliary will pray at 4:30 P.M. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Madeline H. Voigt was born July 26, 1922 in Montrail County, North Dakota to the late Joseph and Mary (Pusc) Oderman. The family moved to Pierz, Minnesota from North Dakota in the early 60's. Madeline was united in marriage to Milfred Nygard and had two daughters, DeLylia and Darlene. Milfred died at a young age due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis. She was united in marriage to Wilbert Voigt and had one son, Rodger. Wilbert died in 1965. Madeline continued living in Pierz, MN. She worked as a laundress in the laundry department at the St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home in Pierz, MN for 30 years. Madeline had a hardworking and fun loving spirit that was a joy to be around. She enjoyed being with family and friends, playing bingo and cards. She was an excellent story teller and really enjoyed "Ole and Lena" Jokes. Madeline was loved by many and dearly loved her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN and the Pierz American Legion Auxiliary. Left to cherish her memory are her children, DeLylia (Pete) Baumgartner of Bismarck, ND, Darlene Rocheleau of Pierz, MN, Rodger (Becky) Voigt of Fairbanks, AK; grandchildren, Allen Nygard, Debbie Fuhrman, Dean Rocheleau, Darin Baumgartner, David Rocheleau, Dawn Baumgartner and Dan Rocheleau, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Milfred Nygard and Wilbert Voigt; son-in-law, Russ Rocheleau; siblings, Ralph, George, Gilbert, Robert, Marie, Margaret and Helen. Casket Bearers will be: Dean Rocheleau, Dan Rocheleau, Allen Nygard, Darin Baumgartner, Mark Fuhrman, Kyle Fuhrman and Josh Rocheleau.
