Luella F. Bury

Luella F. Bury, age 88, of Andover, MN, formerly of Little Falls, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Andover. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, 900 First Street SE, Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Mark Innocenti officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Luella F. Bury was born on August 12, 1921 in Minnetonka Mills, Minnesota to the late George & Elizabeth (Wirtz) Hudlow. She completed the eighth grade then went to work to help survive the depression years. She was united in marriage to Albert J. Bury in March of 1947 in Hudson Wisconsin. The couple made their home in Minneapolis, then Crystal, and finally Little Falls, MN. Luella worked at Boeing Aircraft during World War II, and the Twin Cities Army Arsenal in New Brighton, during the Viet Nam conflict. Later, she worked at 510 Groveland, a downtown residence for the elderly, in Minneapolis. Her hobbies were sewing, which she did for everyone in her family, and gardening. She had a green thumb and could grow the most beautiful flowers. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steven Bury of Andover, MN and Mike Bury of White Bear Township, MN; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Luella was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert Bury (November 16, 2000) step-daughter, Barbara Bury; three brothers, Wilber (Bill) Hudlow, Elmer (Al) Hudlow, and Vernon (Jake) Hudlow, and her two sisters, Leona Worthingham and Evelyn Wimmer.
