Louis J. Jelinski, 68 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg with Fr. Raymond Donnay officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, (West Chapel) in Little Falls, MN. Parish Prayers will be said at 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral chapel. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Flensburg. Louis Jelinski was born December 27, 1938 in Little Falls, MN to the late Joseph and Sophia (Super) Jelinski. He attended Catholic School in Flensburg through the eighth grade and Little Falls High School graduating with the Class of 1958. He furthered his education at the University of Minnesota receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree. Louis was united in marriage to Janet M. Woltman on August 11, 1969 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski. Together, the couple resided on the Jelinski family farm in Culdrum Township, Morrison County, MN. He served as an FFA instructor for 24 years, was a member of the Morrison County Fair Board, Flensburg Sportman's Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg. Louis enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, watching his grandchildren, visiting with family and friends, watching T.V., playing cards with his brothers & brothers-in-law, going to the casino, family vacations, collecting model tractors, and when he was teaching, working in and out of school with his students. Louis is survived by his wife, Janet; sons & daughters, Jeff Jelinski of Flensburg, MN, Jay Jelinski of Swanville, MN, Joseph Jelinski & wife, Jennifer, of Randall, MN, Lee Peltz & husband, Brian, of Bowlus, MN, Lisa Jelinski of Brainerd, MN and Linda Jelinski of Little Falls, MN; three grandchildren, Curtis Jelinski, Maria & Alex Peltz; brothers, Leonard Jelinski & wife, Leona, of Freedhem, MN, Lawrence Jelinski & wife, Rosie, of Freehem, MN; sisters, Victoria Dobis & husband, Ray, and Elizabeth Piekarski all of Little Falls, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Sophia Jelinski; brothers, Edward Jelinski, Floryanie Jelinski and sisters, Johanna Maciej and Eleanor Defoe.
