Louis "Louie" Moses Patnaude was born on December 22, 1939 in Ripley Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Moses & Mary Patnaude. He grew up on the family farm in Ripley Township. He attended country school and Little Falls High School. He entered the United States Navy on March 30, 1957 and was discharged on June 2, 1958. Following his military service, he worked in the Twin Cities and eventually moved back to the farm. He was united in marriage to Karina Przybilla on June 29, 1965, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. The couple made their home in Pierz before moving to the family farm in 1984. Louie also worked at Larson Boats in Little Falls and drove truck for International Transport. He also had his auctioneer and pilot license. Louie enjoyed fishing, hunting, visiting, traveling, woodworking and crafts. Louie was a story teller and he loved to stretch the truth (a lot). He also had bragging rights to his new tractor and baler. Louie especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family and enjoyed his morning coffee time with neighbors and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karina Patnaude of Fort Ripley, MN; children, Patrick (Lisa) Patnaude of Fort Ripley, MN and Kari Lynn (Kevin) Dembouski of Harding, MN; grandchildren, Daisy and Ivy Dembouski of Harding, MN and nieces and nephews. Louie was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Moses Salvio Patnaude, Jr. and brother, Gary Patnaude.
