Lorraine Poser

Lorraine M. Poser, age 89, of Pierz, MN, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN, with Fr. Greg Poser and Fr. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A private interment will take place at a later date. Lorraine Florence Kliber was born on June 16, 1920 in Little Falls, MN, the daughter of Michael J. & Josephine M. (Yourzak) Kliber. She was baptized on June 20, 1920 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls and given the baptismal name of Florence Margaret Kliber. She attended school through the 9th grade and then stayed home to take care of her father and brothers until she was married. She was united in marriage to Edmund G. Poser on December 1, 1938. When her father became ill, she moved back home to help care for him until he died. She did a lot of baking, canning and cooking and helped her mother-in-law with cooking and baking many times. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with friends. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz and the Christian Mother's. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 71 years, Edmund Poser of Pierz; two sons, James Poser of Pierz and Marvin (Christine) Poser of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Christy Poser and Benjamin Poser. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael J. & Josephine M. (Yourzak) Kliber; an infant son; brothers, Philip Kliber, Florian Kliber, Leonard Kliber and George Kliber and sisters, Helen Opatz, Cecila Kliber, Rosalind Kliber and Esther Gramling.
