Lorraine M Ciminski

Lorraine M. Ciminski, age 89, of Brainerd, formerly of Little Falls, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 305 - 4th Street SE, Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Kenneth Brenny officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the church. Lorraine M Ciminski was born on March 1st, 1923 in Little Falls, MN to Mathias and Martha (Krystosek) Adams. She graduated from Little Falls High School and St. Cloud Business College. Lorraine married Edward Ciminski on June 12, 1948 in Little Falls. She worked at the American National Bank and the Minnesota WorkForce Center. In between these employments, Lorraine was a stay-at- home mother for 26 years raising her five children. Lorraine was a member of St. Mary's Church in Little Falls, as well as the Christian Mothers and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed bowling, reading, bridge, summers at the family cabin on Fish Trap Lake, and frequent winters in Mesa, AZ. Lorraine enjoyed life and the company of others especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Survived by her sons: David Ciminski (Joan) of Roseville, and John Ciminski of Brainerd; daughters: Mary Elizabeth Thibodeau (James) of Henderson, NV, Donna Burggraff (David) of Brainerd, and Laurie Bonnand (George) of Livermore, CA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and sister Jeanne Schnell (George) of St. Paul as well as many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Martha Adams; husband Edward Ciminski, three sisters Bernadine Castrodad, Dorothy Greene, and Rose Gjesdahl and three brothers George, Edward, and Leonard.
