Lorraine Bergstrom

Lorraine Bergstrom, age 93 of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Regina "Lorraine" (Zak) Bergstrom was born September 10, 1918 in Little Falls to John & Nettie Zak. As a young child she lived in Little Falls, later moving to St. Cloud with her family where she attended and graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School. Lorraine was united in marriage to Oscar Bergstrom in October of 1938 in South Dakota. The couple lived in Little Falls. Lorraine and Oscar were married just short of 70 years with his passing on September 8, 2008. Lorraine worked at home as a homemaker raising her children. The couple enjoyed spending time at their lake home on Lake Alexander for over 40 years. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, playing cards and bird watching. She had a quick wit about her, a great sense of humor and always had a kind word for everyone. Lorraine is survived by her sons, Robert (Sandie) Bergstrom of Apple Valley, MN, Gary (Gayle) Bergstrom of Temple, TX and Lee (Susan) Bergstrom of Brainerd, MN; son-in-law, Robert Ahlgren of Fairmont, MN; sister, Gloria (Bob) Bunzel of Milwaukee, WI; brother-in-law, Leonard (Marge) Bergstrom of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; daughter, Judy Ahlgren and parents, John & Nettie Zak.
