Loretta Kroll

Loretta Kroll, age 98, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 14 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Tony Kroll officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Royalton, MN. Friends may call from 2-5 PM on Sunday, January 13 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral East Chapel. and from 10:30-11:15 AM on Monday at the church. Rosary will be said at 3 PM followed by Parish Prayers at 4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Loretta was born January 29, 1909 in North Prairie, MN to the late Rose and Isadore Schlichting. She attended school in Royalton, MN. Loretta was united in marriage to Ignatius Kroll on October 25, 1929 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN. The couple farmed in the Royalton area for a number of years. She worked as a cook at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN for 20 plus years. She also worked as a Home Health Care Aide for Morrison County for ten years. Loretta was a member of the Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella, Third Order of St. Francis, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Healing Light Prayer Group and the St. Rose Mission Circle. She enjoyed volunteering especially with the elderly and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed making quilts for the family, gardening and bowling. Loretta made delicious coffee cakes for special occasions. She had a special love for the Rosary. Loretta is survived by her children, Donald Kroll (Phyllis) of Columbia Heights, MN, Arthur Kroll of Little Falls, MN, Joan Faust (John) of Little Falls, MN, Cletus Kroll (Rene) of Andover, MN, Fred Kroll (Carol) of Andover, MN, Louise Drew-Bauer (Bob) of Coon Rapids, MN, Robert Kroll (Darlene) of St. Joseph, MN, Denis Kroll of Cambridge, MN, Rose Ann Powers of Anoka, MN, Bernadette Souvignier (Bill) of Maple Grove, MN and Duane Kroll of New Brighton, MN. sisters, Thereisa Fussy of Royalton, MN, Bernice Wallack (Claude) Duluth, MN, Regina Miller of Tacoma, WA and Evelyn Krystosek of Holdingford, MN. 40 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isadore and Rose Schlichting; husband, Ignatius; brothers, sisters and two grandchildren.
