Loretta H. Bailey

Loretta H. Bailey, 97 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls with Father Nick Landsberger officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Friends may call from from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at St. Otto's Care Center. Loretta H. DeLaHunt was born November 18, 1911 in Little Falls, MN to the late James and Margaret E. (Ward) DeLaHunt. She graduated from the Little Falls High School and then attended one year of Normal Teachers training. Loretta taught in country schools for four years. She was united in marriage on June 2, 1936 to Lloyd Bailey. She assisted Lloyd in barbering and real estate until their retirement in 1972. Loretta and Lloyd enjoyed retirement and in their remaining years, spent the summers in Minnesota and their winters in Texas. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls. Loretta is survived by her children, Deanna (Jeffrey) Vichorek of Moose Lake, MN, Patrick (Jane) Bailey of Tomah, WI, Jay (Patty) Bailey of Little Falls, MN, Dean (Karen) Bailey of Sun City, AZ and Curt (Susan) Bailey of Austin, TX; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Rose) DeLaHunt of Little Falls, MN; sisters, Betty Nielson of Colorado, Rita Schilling of California and Florence Turcotte of Brainerd. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd on November 28, 1999; brothers, Walter, Robert, Tom and Donald; sisters, Gladys, Jean, Vannie, Ceil & Lois.
