Lois Gammon, age 72, of Lake Shamineau, formerly of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at her home on Lake Shamineau. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Private interment will be held at a later date in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday at the funeral home from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Lois was born on March 20, 1939 in Harding, MN, the daughter of Joseph "Jim" & Bernice (Schubert) Hoheisel. She grew up in the Buckman area where she attended grade school. She graduated from Fr. Pierz Memorial High School in 1957. Following her schooling, she worked at Redline Optical Company in St. Paul, MN. She was united in marriage to George Gammon in June, 1959. Her main career was raising their five children. Lois also worked as an operating room technician at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls for 21 years. George and Lois were long-time members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church while living in Little Falls and are currently members of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Motley. In 1986, the couple moved from Little Falls to their current home on Lake Shamineau. Lois was a wonderful homemaker, caring grandmother and a devoted wife. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, scrapbooking, beating George at cribbage, and spending time with her family. One of her favorite holidays was "Christmas in July" at the lake. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, George; children, Gregory Gammon of Little Falls, Lynelle (Darren) Bushinger of Cushing, Roxanne (Kenneth) Lukasavitz of Little Falls, David Gammon of Little Falls; grandchildren, Bradley & John Lukasavitz, Alex & Chloe Houle, Tyler Bushinger and Brianna & Brooke Gammon; brother, James (Jeanette) Hoheisel of Hillman; sister, Diane Gall of Little Falls, and several dearly loved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, friends, nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and son, Kevin (March 5, 1982).
