Linda Marie Zemotel-Bayer

Dr. Linda Zemotel-Bayer, age 62 of Rural Pierz, MN passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at her home in Ripley Township, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with the Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pierz, MN. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30A.M.Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz. Linda M. Zemotel-Bayer was born July 19, 1945 in Brackenridge, PA to the late Stanley & Mary Zemotel. She grew up in Brackenridge, PA graduating from Hermany High School. Following high school, Linda attended and received a B.S. Degree from Duquene University in Pittsburgh, PA, a M.S. Degree from the University of Colorado, a Post Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Washington and a M.S. & PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as a Transportation Planner for the State of Minnesota in St. Paul. She was united in marriage to Dr. Raymond P. Bayer on July 25, 2003 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Pierz. Linda retired in January of 2007. In November of 2007, Linda & Ray moved into their new home in Ripley Township, Morrison County, MN where she resided until her death. Linda was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, socializing, working on their hobby farm, making maple syrup, picking mushrooms and designing their new home. Linda is survived by her husband, Dr. Raymond P. Bayer and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
