Lila M. Larson

Lila M. Larson, 91 year old resident of Little Falls, MN formerly of Cushing, MN passed away August 10, 2017 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 14 at Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls with Pastor Nate Bjorge. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 13 from 3-6 PM at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Cushing Union Cemetery in Cushing.

Lila was born July 6, 1926 in Jamestown, ND to John and Laura Zimmer. She was united in marriage to Ben Larson on September 25, 1947 in Windsor, ND at the home of her parents. Lila worked on the family farm along side her husband, was a homemaker and mother, always putting her family first. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, embroidering, setting puzzles, and flower gardening. Lila enjoyed traveling and did so right up to her last days. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing and the Cushing Ladies Club. Spending time with her family was very important to Lila. She will be remembered as being very easy to please. She was satisfied with a little, but always gave a lot.

Lila is survived by her children, Gene (Julie) Larson of Northfield, MN, Linda (Richard) Collins of Little Falls, MN, Betty (Ronald) Otremba of Clear Lake, MN, Debie (Jim) Brink of Andover, MN; grandchildren, Kristen (Maria Thomas) Larson, Heidi (Chuck) Hewitt, Rick (Robin Marano) Collins, Jim (Stacy) Collins, Ashley Collins, Brian Collins, Josh Otremba, Emily Otremba, Sarah Brink, Allie Brink; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edna Olson, Don Zimmer, and Herb Zimmer.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Kenneth Zimmer, Harold Zimmer; and infant sister, Velma Zimmer.
