Leonard Kulus, 84 year old resident of Flensburg, MN died Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 17th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN with Father David Maciej officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery in Flensburg. Friends may call from 3 to 7 P.M. Friday, January 16th and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, January 17th at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg. A parish rosary will be said at 4 P.M. Leonard Kulus was born August 25, 1924 in Flensburg, MN to the late Alex and Mary Piehowski Kulus. He was united in marriage to Joan Faith Wyrwicki on September 24, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. Leonard enjoyed farming, deer hunting, farming, fishing, and more farming. After retirement Leonard had a passion for bow hunting and archery. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg. Leonard is survived by his children, Karen (Roger) Millner of Annandale, MN, Gabe (Sherry) Kulus of Little Falls, MN, Jim (Patty) Kulus of Little Falls, MN, Mary Jo (Melvin) Backowski of Randall, MN; sisters, Lorraine Lapos, Caroline Gwost and Mary Lou Rutz; brother, Louis Kulus; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Kulus (March 30, 2008) parents, Alex and Mary Kulus; brothers, Alex and Bernard Kulus; sisters, Dorothy Czech, Eleanor Chock, Josephine Dzieweczynski and Adeline Dzieweczynski. Serving as casket bearers are Scott Millner, Sam Millner, John Backowski, Chris Backowski, Todd Kulus and Chad Kulus.
