Leona M. Ringwelski, 89 year old resident of Little Falls Care Center, formerly of Flensburg, MN passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Little Falls Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM on Friday, November 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. A visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday evening at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Leona Hlad was born on July 3, 1928 in Culdrum Township to John and Anna Hlad. She graduated from Little Falls High School with the class of 1947. Leona was united in marriage to Joseph Ringwelski on June 28, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg. The couple lived in Brainerd from 1949-1952 and then moved to Leonas family farm in Culdrum Township. She worked at Munsingwear for 25 years. Leona enjoyed baking, gardening, shopping, going for rides in the country, and her beloved market street. She was known as the bread lady on market street. Leona was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by sons, Dave (Diane) Ringwelski of Little Falls, MN, Alan Ringwelski of Little Falls; and many nieces nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, John Hlad; and sisters, Mary Volansky, Anne Hlad.
