Lawrence "Larry" Roberts

Lawrence Larry Roberts, 67 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Pierz, MN, died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at his home in Little Falls, MN.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Rev. Dean Clough officiating.A private burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls.

Lawrence Larry Eugene Roberts was born on April 3, 1946, in Marshall, Minnesota the son of Albert & Dorothy (Cook) Roberts.He grew up in Marshall where he attended school.Following his schooling, he began working as a carpenter which he did all his life.He also owned and operated Larrys Highway 27 in Pierz in the late 1980s.His most recent employment was as a self employed carpenter.He was united in marriage to Sharon Dooley on November 6, 1994 at Faith Community Church in Pierz.The couple lived in Pierz until moving to Little Falls in 1998.Larry enjoyed watching the Vikings, trips to the casino, playing pool, bowling, and was an excellent cook.Larry was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Alyssa, Cindy, Brooklynn and Allie.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon of Little Falls, MN; children from his first marriage, Lisa Roberts of Marshall, MN, and Tanya Roberts of Pipestone, MN, and several beloved grandchildren; Sharons children, Jeremy (Amy) Dooley of Little Falls, MN, and Angela (Tom) Dooley of Little Falls, MN; beloved brother, Ron (Marlene) Roberts of Plymouth, MN, sisters, Jan Bergjord of Fulda, MN, and Charlotte Miller of Marshall, MN, other siblings, Bill Roberts, Ralph Roberts, Dick Roberts, Terry Roberts, Delbert Roberts and Tim Roberts; uncle, Kenny Cole of Marshall, MN; special in-laws, Rosanne and Edward Girtz of Hillman, MN, and Everett and Nancy Golden of Driscoll, TX and other relatives and friends.Larrys family would like to thank their close friends, Eric and Diane Johnson as well as Janice, Heidi and Joanie for their love and care.A special thank you to Unity Family Hospice Care for all of their help and care.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Roberts; brother-in-law, Roger Bergjord.
