Lawrence Kloss

Lawrence Kloss, age 89, of Royalton, MN, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN, with Fr. Laurn Virnig and Fr. Kenneth Popp concelebrating.Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18th and 10:00 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19th all at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN.

There will be a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the church followed by Knights of Columbus Office of the Dead at 6:00 p.m. and Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.

Lawrence Paul Kloss was born on January 15, 1926 in Little Falls, MN the son of Edward & Elizabeth (Smieja) Kloss.He grew up on a farm east of Royalton and attended country school.Following his schooling, he joined a threshing team traveling around the area.He was united in marriage to Rita Popp on November 10, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church in Rice, MN.The couple settled on a farm east of Royalton where they raised their sons. After retiring from farming, he delivered feed to farmers throughout the area and made many friends.He enjoyed fishing for sunfish, spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with Rita.He was a member of the Little Falls Knights of Columbus serving as a Grand Knight and later joined the Royalton Council. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Church in Royalton where he served as an usher.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jeffrey Kloss of Royalton, Bruce (Cheryl) Kloss, of Royalton, Brad (Mary) Kloss ofVisalia, CA; siblings, Alvin (Elaine) Kloss of Rice and Mary Jane (Mark) Haeg of Coon Rapids; grandchildren, Jeffery (Amanda) Kloss, Adrian (Louise) Kloss, Aaron (Hanna) Kloss, Joe Kloss, Kayla Kloss, & Kelsey Kloss; step-grandchildren, Melissa (Wade Bauer) Waddell, Guy (Trina) Waddell, Jr., James (Katrina) Waddell; and many great-grandchildren.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita (Popp) Kloss (8/14/2006); grandson, Kyle Kloss and step-granddaughter, Jackie Waddell; step-great-grandson, Grayson Waddell, and a sister, Pelchie Nordeen.
