Laura Charlene Drew

Laura C. Drew, age 43 of Brainerd, MN passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 at her home in Brainerd, MN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at 11:30 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Rev. Gregg Valentine officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Friends may call from 10:30-11:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Laura C. Drew was born March 11, 1965 in San Antonio, TX to the late Thomas S. and Mary F. Drew. She grew up in San Antonio until the age of seven years. Her family moved to Inver Grove Heights, MN. They moved to North Branch, MN where she attended and graduated from North Branch High School with the Class of 1983. Following high school, Laura worked for a short time. She moved to Texas and lived with her sister, Rebel Drew. At the age of 18 years, Laura moved back to North Branch, MN and worked as a park ranger. She met Henry VonMoore and Laura had her first child, Beau. She met and married Terry Neff. The couple lived in Chisago, MN. They later divorced. Laura met and married Brain Edwards. The couple lived in Elk River and St. Paul. Laura's second child Samantha Joe was born. The couple later divorced. Laura moved to Braham, MN for six years, then to Gilman, MN and to Texas. She moved back to Brainerd, MN where she resided until her death. Laura enjoyed traveling, riding bike, camping, tubing, sledding, shopping at second hand stores, arts & crafts, music and especially Elvis Presley. Laura is survived by her son, Beau Drew of Bluffton, MN; daughter, Samantha Jo Edwards of Rush City, MN; sister, Rebel L. Fleck of Little Falls, MN and a half-brother, Gabriel M. Wessinger of White Bear Lake, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Mary Drew; aunt, Bobbie Tomlin and a cousin, Buddy Tomlin. Arrangements are with the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN.
