Kevin Sobiech Kevin Sobiech, 27 year old resident of Harding, MN died suddenly at his residence on March 4, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church Cemetery in Harding, MN. with Rev. Skaria Johnus officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Sunday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Parish prayers will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Kevin Sobiech was born July 7, 1981 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN to Duane and Sue (Copa) Sobiech. He attended and graduated from Pierz High School with the class of 2000. After high school he worked for Bauerly Brothers and Hayes Construction. In 2001, he enlisted in the National Guard and served active duty in Kuwait from 2004 until 2005. Kevin was currently working at Camp Ripley as a Technician, where he had made many great friends. Kevin enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling, darts, softball, fishing, deer hunting, small game hunting, playing cards, 31 and 500. His love was spending time with his friends and family especially his nieces, Brittany and Brekanda Lashinski and nephew, Brodric Lashinski. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Duane and Sue (Copa) Sobiech of Harding, MN; sister, Jackie Lashinski and husband, Jason, of Pierz, MN; brothers, Michael Sobiech and Tony Sobiech of Harding, MN; grandmother, Rita Sobiech of Sobieski, MN; aunts and uncles, Bev Copa of Harding, Ann and Marvin Kimman of Pierz, MN, Dennis Sobiech and Joanne, of Little Falls, MN; nieces and nephew, Brittany, Brekanda and Brodric Lashinski. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Clara Copa and Leo Sobiech. Casket Bearers will be: Aaron Chalich, Scott Majerus, Scott Kowalczyk, Joe Hoppe, Ryan Hoppe, Jason Skiba, Jeremy Copa and Zach Grunst.
