Kenneth Niezgocki

Kenneth D. Niezgocki, 77 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Wednesday, February 29 at the Quiet Oakes Hospice House in St. Augusta, MN. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 3 at 11:00 A.M. at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. with Rev. David Sperstad officiating. Friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Kenneth was born June 8, 1934 in St. Paul, MN to the late Albert George and Hannah (Wicklund) Niezgocki. He attended elementary school in a one room school house in Hugo, MN. Kenneth later attended Gladstone Elementary School and North Saint Paul High School. He was drafted into the United States Army in November, 1956, and served two years in Korea at the 38th parallel. Ken was united in marriage to Miriam L. Kult on July 25, 1959 at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. The couple resided in Maplewood, MN prior to moving to Little Falls, MN in 2003. The couple owned a cabin on Lake Alexander and spent April through November at the lake. The couple enjoyed all the activities at the lake and all the friends and family who came to enjoy it with them. Miriam's grandparents purchased the lake cabin in 1935. Kenneth operated a plastering business with his father and brother from 1952 until 1965. He then went to work for the Northern Pacific Rail Road as a switchman now known as the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Rail Road from 1965-1984. He was oriented towards his wife and extended family. He loved the outdoors. Ken was a quiet man who enjoyed trying to do many things. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, yard-work, carpentry, playing cards, traveling extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Hawaii. Ken had an interest in historic sights, National Parks, bird watching and nature in general. Our praises for the people and the special place Ken stayed until his journey on earth was over can never be sung long or loud enough. Thank you Quiet Oakes Hospice House in St. Augusta, MN. He will forever be missed by his loving wife, Miriam Niezgocki of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Russell Niezgocki of Maplewood, MN, Donna (Donald) Malm of Two Harbors, MN, June (Gene) Stafford of Iron River, WI, Violet Westphal of Maplewood, MN; brothers-in-law, David (Mary) Kult of Little Falls, MN, Daniel (Rena) Kult of Little Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Sharon Kult of Siren, WI; He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert (Hannah) Niezgocki; brothers, Vernon and Clayton Niezgocki and many nieces and nephews.
