Kenneth J. Wenzel, age 74, of Little Falls, MN passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at St. Cloud, Hospital. Military Rites by Little Falls American Legion Post #46 and the Little Falls V.F.W. Post # 1112. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Fr. Timothy Wenzel & Fr. Mark Innocenti concelebrating. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral West Chapel in Little Falls. Christian Mothers will pray the Rosary at 4:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Monday. Kenneth was born on August 1, 1932 in Darling Township to Anthony & Anna (Danko) Wenzel. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and in the Minnesota Army National Guard for 20 years. Kenneth was united in marriage to Jeanette Lampert on July 10, 1956 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, Minnesota. He worked for Simonet Furniture & Carpet Company and Wiczek Furniture. Later he was self-employed as a carpet installer until his retirement in 1994. Kenneth was a member of the Little Falls Volunteer Fire Department, V.F.W. and American Legion. His favorite past-time activities were gardening, taking care of his lawn, reading, watching the Minnesota Twins baseball and spending time with his family & friends. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Jeanette Wenzel of Little Falls, MN; his children, William (Irene) Wenzel of Little Falls, MN; Patty (Jeff) Thielen of Little Falls, MN; John (Theresa) Wenzel of Sartell, MN; Bob (Lynn) Wenzel of Randall, MN; eight grandchildren, Jason & Christopher Thielen, Joe, Anna, Jacob, Eddie, Joshua and Travis Wenzel; brothers, Tom & Tony Wenzel of Randall, MN; Fr. Timothy Wenzel of St. Cloud, MN; Steve Wenzel of Little Falls, MN; Mike Wenzel of Minneapolis, MN; Jerry Wenzel of East Grand Forks, MN; sisters, Bev Lemieur of Little Falls, MN; Virginia Wenzel of Cambridge, MN; Kathryn Knight of Olivia, MN; and Anne Bratton of Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony & Anna (Danko) Wenzel and brother, Larry Wenzel. Casket Bearers will be Jason Thielen, Chris Thielen, Joe Wenzel, Eddie Wenzel, John Lemieur, Steve Lemieur, Dennis Wenzel & Andrew Knight.
