Kenneth F. Leidenfrost, 80 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Sunday, June 5 at his home in Little Falls Township. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 9 at 11:00 A.M. St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Kenneth F. Leidenfrost was born June 4, 1931 in Little Falls, MN to the late Frank and Cecelia (Bolster) Leidenfrost. He graduated from Little Falls High School. Kenneth was a Merchant Marine and worked for 30 years on the Great Lakes for the "U.S. Steel Great Lakes Fleet". He was united in marriage to Joyce Super on January 5, 1980 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Little Falls Township all their married life. Kenneth loved traveling with his wife, Joyce, during the winter months. They traveled to 48 states. He enjoyed farming, especially tractors and hay rides, playing the accordion, building bird houses, doll houses, trellises and go carts. Ken was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. He treasured his time spent with his family and friends especially this past Saturday, celebrating his 80th birthday party. Ken cherished attending his grandchildren's activities. Thursdays were special for Ken, as he would attend Bologna Days in Genola. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge and the Steel Workers Union. Remembering Ken as a great husband, father, grandfather and brother are his loving wife, Joyce Leidenfrost of Little Falls, MN; children, Deborah Brownie (Ray Sobania) of St. Cloud, MN, Jaqueline (Urban) Schmidtbauer of Oak Grove, MN, Bonita Lafond (Steve Neale) of Anchorage, AK, Connie Dukowitz of Little Falls, MN, Kellie Strom of Little Falls, MN, Daniel (Betty) Strom of Duluth, MN; brother, Frank (Amy) Leidenfrost of Staples, MN; 23 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecelia and Frank Leidenfrost; grandson, Lonnie Brownie; great-grandson, Carter Hanson. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Allen Brownie and Chaz Stumpf. Casket Bearers will be: Michael Klosowski, Stephen Brownie, Jessica Ringwelski, Jayson Hesch, Tom Theis, Christopher Strom, John Theis, Tyler Schwendeman.
