Kathleen "Kathy" Beam

February 24, 1946 — July 6, 2015

Kathleen Kathy Beam, age 69, of rural Royalton, MN, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at St. Gabriels Hospital in Little Falls.



Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, with Fr. Roger Klassen, OSB officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.



Visitation will be held from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8th and 9:00 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9th all at the church.



There will be a parish prayer service at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.



Kathleen Kathy Mary Fussy was born on February 24, 1946 in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Peter Margaret (Schlichting) Fussy. She lived in Little Falls until age three when the family moved to the country. She attended country school in District #33 until the sixth grade. The family then moved to a farm near Royalton where he father owned the Sinclair Gas Station. She graduated from Royalton High School. On September 22, 1964, she was united in marriage to Roman J. Beam. The couple lived on a farm five miles north of Royalton and had three sons, Jim, Ron and Rick. Kathy has worked at a number of different places including her fathers gas station, the grocery store, catering, cleaning, carpentry, cut hair and gave perms, was a cooks helper, was an Ala Cart Lady at Royalton High School and worked at Wal Mart. However, she considered her main job to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. Kathy enjoyed dancing, playing cards and Farkle, gambling, watching high school wrestling, watching bull riding, fishing, gardening, canning, baking, watching Days of Our Lives, visiting, snowmobiling, hunting turkeys and coons, helping people and listening to the old country music. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was in the Royalton Wrestling Hall of Fame because of her faithful attendance at the wrestling matches. Those who knew Kathy no doubt have heard her favorite saying, Do You Miss Me?. Kathy volunteered at many places including St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls, Faith in Action, Alzheimers Caregivers, and Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.



Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roman of Royalton, MN, sons, Jim (Brenda Misencik) Beam of Royalton, Ron (Jeanne) Beam of Little Falls, and Rick Beam of Little Falls; grandchildren, Kayla, Darick, Peter, Sam, Anna, Adam and MacKenzie Beam; brothers, Frank (Karen) Fussy of Cushing, Gene (Karen) Fussy of Rogers, Arnold (Colleen) Fussy of Royalton and Alvin (Eleanor) Fussy of Little Falls.



Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Margaret Fussy.
