Karen "Blondie" Tabatt, age 67 of Little Falls, MN passed away Friday, October 17, 2008, at her home in Pike Creek Township, Morrison County, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Mark Innocenti officiating. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00P.M. Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00-10:00 A.M at the Emblom- Brenny Funeral Service at 900 1st Street SE in Little Falls. Christian Mothers will pray a Rosary at 4:30 P.M. at the funeral chapel followed by Parish Prayers at 6:00 P.M. Karen "Blondie" Tabatt was born April 22, 1941, in Little Falls, Morrison County, MN to the late Warner and Marie (Kochmann) Flicker. She grew up in Pierz, MN graduating from Pierz Healy High School with the Class of 1959. After high school, Karen attended St. Cloud Beauty College. She worked for five years at Cora's Beauty Shop in Little Falls. Karen "Blondie" was united in marriage to Herbert "Herb" Tabatt, Jr. on June 5, 1961, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz. Karen and Herb lived in Little Falls and began raising a family. She later worked as an "In-Home Day Care" provider and did volunteer work. Karen "Blondie" enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, baking, fishing, antiques, her doll collection, reading cookbooks as well as reading about health and nutrition, working out at Curves and spending time with her "Birthday Club" friends. Karen was a member of the Christian Mothers and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls Karen "Blondie" is survived by her husband Herbert "Herb", Jr.; sons and daughters, Thomas Tabatt of Little Falls, MN, Debra(Todd) Meyer of St. Cloud, MN, Polly (Chad) Giroux of St. Cloud, MN, Trish Tabatt of Edina, MN, Kim (Robert) Tabatt-Haussmann of Brooklyn, NY and Scott Tabatt of Brooklyn, NY and grandchildren, Dillon & Marie Giroux, Ali Meyer and Nicholas Tabatt. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Mary. Honorary pallbearers are members of Karen's "Birthday Club"; Maureen Fabian, Mary Kalahar, Donna Johnson, Joyce Crowder, Mary "Chi-Chi" Anderson, Karen Olson, Linda Lochner and Anne Hallberg.
