Julia Fyten Julia Fyten, 94, of Pierz, MN died on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at the Harmony House in Pierz, MN Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Buckman, MN. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, March 25th at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz and from 9 to 10 A.M. Wednesday, March 26th at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. A Christian Mother's rosary will be said at 4:30 PM followed by parish prayers at 7 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Julia R. (Kuper) Fyten was born October 21, 1913 in Culdrum Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Frank and Elizabeth B. (Rutz) Kuper. She attended school until the Eighth Grade. She was united in marriage to Walter F. Fyten on October 10, 1938 at the Basilica of St. Mary's in Minneapolis, MN. The couple made their home in Buckman, MN. Julia worked as a housekeeper, and she also worked at St. Mary's Villa in Pierz, MN. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Christian Mothers and Miracle Voices of Central Minnesota. Julia enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing and reading. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and getting together with other relatives. Julia R. Fyten is survived by her sons, Jerry Fyten and wife, Judy, Ronald Fyten and wife, Betty, Mark Fyten and wife, Stephanie, Wally Fyten and wife, Karen, all of Pierz, MN, Paul Fyten and wife, Marilyn, of Fridley, MN, Philip Fyten of White Bear Lake, MN, Dennis Fyten and wife, Sharon, and Steve Fyten and wife, Michele, all of Ramsey, MN; daughters, Elizabeth Krahl of Florissant, MO, Monica Dawson of Savage, MN; brother, Sam Cooper of Fairmont, MN; 29 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth (Rutz) Fyten; husband, Walter Fyten; brothers, Alexander and Isadore Cooper; grandsons, Shannon Fyten and Clifford Fyten. Arrangements are with the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, Minnesota.
