Joyce Schmidt

JoyceM. Schmidt, age 77, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Randall Presbyterian Church in Randall, MN, with Pastor Rob Bellin officiating.Interment will be in the Randall City Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17th at the church.

Joyce Marie Olson was born on August 31, 1937, in Randall, Minnesota the daughter of Olaf & Annetta (Kidd) Olson.She grew up in Randall where she attended grade school and graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1955.Joyce worked at Crestliner in Little Falls, R.A. Randall Insurance Agency in Little Falls and the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls from which she retired as a cook.She was united in marriage to Robert Schmidt in 1978 and they later divorced.Joyce enjoyed cooking, traveling, collecting Santas and spending time visiting with her family and friends.She was a member of Randall Presbyterian Church in Randall where she served as a deacon and was a member of the Randall V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dan of Little Falls, MN; sister, Phyllis Hoffman of Little Falls, MN, brother, Owen (Lavonne) Olson of Little Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Lois Olson of Randall, MN, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf & Annetta (Kidd) Olson; brothers, Warren Olson and Gordon Bud Olson.
