Joyce Irene Hoffman

Joyce Hoffman, 82 year old resident of Pierz, MN formerly of Brainerd, MN died, Monday, January 19 at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 11:00 A.Mat Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN with Father David Maciej officiating.The burial will be in the parish cemetery.A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service on Thursday at the church in Harding.

Joyce Bednarek was born September 27, 1932 in Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Paul and Florence (Maleski) Bednarek.She graduated from the Little Falls High School in 1950.She was united in marriage to Alvin Joseph Hoffman on November 11, 1952 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN.The couple resided on the north side of Platte Lake.She enjoyed playing cards, embroidering, gardening, going to the casino and traveling in her later years. She was a past member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Bulldog Lake and was a current member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David (Carrie) Hoffman of Rogers, MN and LuAnn Aasen of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Kristyn Aasen, Daniel Aasen, Derek (Bri) Hoffman and Brandon Hoffman; great-grandson, Brooks Hoffman; siblings, Harry (Judy) Bednarek ofChamplin, MN, Shirley Stichter of Hillman, MN; sister-in-law, Ardell Killeaney of Little Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death byher parents; husband, Alvin Hoffman; siblings, Lyle Bednarek, Marlene Walz, Ardyce Dalbec, Eddie Bednarek; brothers-in-law, Willie Stichter, Ray Walz and Jim Dalbec.

Casket Bearers will be: Kristyn Aasen, Daniel Aasen , Derek Hoffman, Brandon Hoffman, Gary Hoffman and Allen Stichter.

The Arrangements are with the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN.
