Josephine DeNio

October 29, 1933 — August 14, 2015

Josephine DeNio, 81 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died, Friday, August 14 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 18 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN with Fr. Jimmy Joseph officiating. The burial will be held in Oakland cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held Monday, August 17 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service and from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Josephine Elizabeth Witucki was born October 29, 1933 in Little Falls Township to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Eidenshink) Witucki. She attended country school until the 8th grade. She was united in marriage to James R. DeNio on April 29, 1950 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN. The couple resided in Little Falls where they raised their four children. As a young lady she worked as a nanny and maid. She also waitressed at the Black and White Hamburger Shop in Little Falls, MN. Josephine worked at Frigidaire in St. Cloud, MN for 23 retiring in 1995. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren. Josephine loved Face Book, going to the casino, crossword puzzles, fishing but most of all a nice cup of coffee, cigarette and visiting with family. She was a member of the Machinist Union for over 40 years. If you knew our mother she had no problems telling you like it was. She was who she was and always had her opinion and never lacked voicing it. Josephine loved her family deeply and always made sure to tell them.



Left to cherish her memory are her children, George (Cindy) DeNio of Port Haywood, VA, Carol (Ex-Husband, William) Winkelman of Little Falls, MN, Alice (Larry) Manlick of Little Falls, MN, son-in-law, Russ Keppers of Pierz, MN; brother, James (Delores) Witucki of Little Falls, MN, sisters, Jenny Marty of Lake Mills, WI, Donna Rubedor of Lake Mills, WI, Dorothy (Dave) Heiman of Lake Mills, WI; sister-in-law, Wilma Witucki of Swanville, MN; 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James DeNio; daughter, Tiania Keppers, infant daughter, Mary Jo DeNio; grandson, Larry Bumpy Wilkinson; great-grandson, Derek Holden; sister, Bernice Hansmann; brothers, Ed, Ray and George Witucki
