Joseph “Joe” Carlson, 68 year old resident of Little Falls, passed away on Wednesday January 17 at his home in Little Falls. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 2, 2024 at Living Hope Church, 17389 Haven Road, Little Falls, MN. Visitation is at 10 am with service beginning at 11 am with lunch to follow.
Joseph H. Carlson was born March 18, 1955 to the late Eugene and Marguerite Carlson. He grew up in Little Falls where he attended school and graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 1974. Joe attended college at St. Cloud Technical College and studied Graphic design. After graduating he met Julie Fillah in 1980 and they were united in marriage a year later in Royalton. They moved to the Twin Cities where daughters Sarah and Amy were born.
Joe utilized his skills in Graphic Design to work for the Billy Graham Association for five years in Minneapolis. He returned to the Little Falls area to pursue a slower pace of life, be closer to family, and enjoy his hobbies of playing guitar, drawing, model cars, spending time with his daughters, and enjoying the outdoors. He loved the Lord and attended Living Hope Church where he assisted with live streaming for Sunday services.
He leaves behind daughters, Amy Browning and Sarah Carlson; granddaughters, Allison Carlson, and Emma Gleaves; siblings, Shirley Hildebrandt, Rebecca (Bill) Peterson, James (Chrissy) Carlson, Ray Carlson, John Carlson, Sheldon (Lynda) Carlson, David Carlson, and Charles (Nancy Nickell) Carlson. Plus, many loved nieces and nephews and their children.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Marguerite; Sisters, Marcia Carlson, Karen (Good), and Pam (Bengtson).
