John Zilkoski

John F. Zilkoski John F. Zilkoski, age 76 of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday at his home in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Nick Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be said at 5:30 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral chapel. John F. Zilkoski was born June 7, 1935, in Pike Creek Township, Morrison County, MN to the late Cyril and Frances (Zoren) Zilkoski. He grew up in Pike Creek Township and attended school in Flensburg. Following his schooling, John worked various jobs. In 1957, John went to work at Hennepin Paper Company in Little Falls as a laborer, retiring in 1998, as a machinist. He was united in marriage to Marcella "Marcy" Kroll on August 29, 1960 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. MN. John and his wife, Marcy, also farmed for 29 years on their hobby farm near Flensburg. The couple wintered in Mesa, AZ for ten years. John enjoyed fishing, traveling and playing cards. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marcella "Marcy"; children, Marie (Donald) Bergeron of New Hope, MN, Gerald (Lisa) Zilkoski of Bowlus, MN and Connie Hansen of Edina, MN; siblings, Laverne Schneider of Little Falls, MN, Betty Gibson of Sioux Falls, SD, Carol Thies of Buckman, MN, twin sister, Joan (Ed) Zilka of St. Louis Park, MN, Alyce Muncy of Buckman, MN, and Sharon (Dave) Kirchner of Minnetonka, MN; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril & Frances Zilkoski and sisters, Viola Schneider, Lorraine Miller & Bernice Lyons-Gruber.
