John F. Kedrowski, 79 year old former resident of Swanville, MN and South St. Paul, MN died Wednesday, November 11 at South View Acres in West St. Paul, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 17 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Catholic Church in Swanville, MN with Father Ron Dockendorf officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Bearhead Cemetery in Pillsbury, MN. Military Rites will be provided Swanville American Legion and the Long Prairie VFW. John Francis Kedrowski was born July 10, 1930 in Parker Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late John and Bessie Emma (Vavra) Kedrowski. He attended school in Parker Township, Morrison County, MN. He enlisted in the United States Military and served in Korea for two years. John was united in marriage to Joyce Stoll on August 20, 1951, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. The couple later divorced. John worked for Armour Packing in South St. Paul, MN from 1951 until 1979. John was united in marriage to Wilma Schultz. In 1979, John and Wilma moved to Pillsbury Lake Morrison County, MN. During this time John worked at Long Prairie Packing from 1979 until retiring in 1995. The couple made their home on Pillsbury Lake. Wilma died December 2, 1999, and John continued living on Pillsbury Lake. John enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Swanville, MN. John was active with the Swanville Lions Club, Swanville American Legion and was a former post-commander of the Long Prairie VFW. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Steven Kedrowski, and wife, Cindy, of Chisago City, MN, John "Jack" Jr. Kedrowski and wife, Karen, of, Cottage Grove, MN, Thomas Kedrowski and wife, Midori, of Columbia Station, OH, Timothy Kedrowski, of Eagan, MN, Ronald Kedrowski of South St. Paul, MN; brothers, Jim Kedrowski, of Swanville, MN, and Larry Kedrowski and wife, Karen, of St. Augusta, MN; sisters, Evelyn Carlson and husband, Marshall, of Pine City, MN, and Joanie Pearson and husband, Dave, of Pillager, MN; the mother of his children, Joyce (Stoll) Kedrowski of South St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Steven Kedrowski Jr. and wife, Chris, Catherine Olsen and husband, Pete, Mary Beth Bohl and husband, Peter, Matthew Kedrowski, Amy Kedrowski and fiance, Andrew Bestler, Christopher Kedrowski and Kevin Kedrowski; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Abby and Jake Olsen, Paige and Cooper Kedrowski; brother-in-law, Leonard Lodl of Ft. Dodge, NE and sister-in-law, Shirley Kedrowski of Swanville, MN and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie (Vavra) Kedrowski; wife, Wilma Kedrowski on December 2, 1999; baby daughter; siblings, Albert Kedrowski, Geraldine Lodl and Paul Kedrowski. Casket Bearers will be: Steven Kedrowski Jr., Catherine Olsen, Mary Beth Bohl, Matthew Kedrowski, Amy Kedrowski, Christopher Kedrowski, Kevin Kedrowski.
