John Anthony Huebsch, born June 13, 1961 Perham, Minnesota, died July 21, 2014.
John attended High School at Crosier Seminary in Onamia, MN. He Attended Saint Johns University in Collegeville, MN, receiving a degree in Psychology. John worked for several years in the Psychology ward at the Saint Cloud Hospital, Saint Cloud, MN. In 1984, John managed the Saint Cloud, MN Office of The Godchild Project
Founded by his parents, Dave and Betty Huebsch, which did Human Development
in Guatemala. He then became an officer on the board of directors when it was
Incorporated as a Minnesota Non-Profit Organization in 1986. After the death of
his mother in 1989, John joined his father to work directly with the poorest of Gods people in the highland villages in Sacatepequez, Guatemala. John replaced his father as Director of the newly renamed Common Hope Organization in 1992, during which time John designed and constructed the permanent structures of Common Hope over a seven year period. John worked in Guatemala for a total of 16 years, resigning his position as director, and returning to the United States in 2006 to pursue other
interests. John was never married. Survivors include his father Dave E
Huebsch (Bina), Little Falls, MN; his sister Anne Marie Huebsch Lang (Dave),
Mpls, MN; brother David Joseph Huebsch (Nora), Osceola, WI. Preceding
him in death are his mother, Betty Ann Wegscheid Huebsch; his brother Mark
Huebsch and his sister Cheryl Huebsch. Interment is at Saint Lawrence Cemetery,
Perham MN.
