Johanna Jendro

Johanna Jendro, 93 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Bowlus, MN, died Thursday, February 6 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN, with Father John Odero officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 9 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 until the hour of service on Monday all at the church in Bowlus, MN. The parish prayers will be said at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the church.

Johanna Frances Waletzki was born August 9, 1920 in Swan River Township to the late Frank and Katherine (Opatz) Waletzki. She attended District #45 country school in Swan River Township. Johanna graduated in with the class of 1939 from Little Falls Community High School. She moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she worked for Munsingwer and Reinhard Brothers Co in the Vocational Parts Division during the war.She was united in marriage to Clarence Jendro on August 20, 1945 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN.The couple made their home in Brooklyn Park from 1945 until moving to North Prairie in 1951.She worked for Munsingwear in Little Falls, MN, for 17 years.The couple retired in 1984 and moved to Bowlus, MN. Clarence moved to St. Ottos Care Center in 2009, where he resided at the time of his death.Johanna continued living in Bowlus, MN, until 2012, when she moved to St.Ottos Care in Little Falls, MN.She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fishing, raising African Violets and will be remembered as an excellent cook and baker.Johanna was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie, MN and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David Jendro and wife, Marie, of LaPorte, MN, Sharon Fleischhacker and husband, Ervin, of Paynesville, MN, Judy Rahn and husband, Dale, of Bowlus, MN, Ralph Jendro of Pierz, MN, Audrey Kloss and husband, Ronald, of Royalton, MN and Gary Jendro of Royalton, MN; brother-in-law, Sylvester Warzecha of Sauk Rapids, MN She is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Jendro on October 22, 2009; grandson, Thomas Jendro and a sister, Ione Warzecha.
