Joan F. Kulus, age 79, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg with Father Leo Moenkedick officiating. Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery in Flensburg. Friends may call from 4 to7 P.M. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 and from 9-10:15 A.M. Wednesday, April 2nd both at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg. The Rosary Sodality will pray a rosary at 5 PM followed by Parish Prayers at 6 P.M. Tuesday evening at the church. Joan Faith Kulus was born December 26, 1928 in Grey Eagle, MN to the late Frank and Emma (Lapos) Wyrwicki. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1946. Joan was united in marriage to Leonard Kulus on September 24, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. She was homemaker all of her life and was an active participant on the family farm. Joan enjoyed word games, crossword puzzles, watching birds, fishing and traveling. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg and the Rosary Sodality. Joan is survived by her husband, Leonard Kulus of Little Falls, MN; children, Karen (Roger) Millner of Annandale, MN, Gabe (Sherry) Kulus of Little Falls, MN, Jim (Patty) Kulus of Little Falls, MN, Mary Jo (Melvin) Backowski of Randall, MN; sisters, Arlen (Jerome) Kuhlmann of Little Sauk, MN, Arliss Verlander of Fridley, MN and Carol (Conrad) Keech of Northfield, MN; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Emma (Lapos) Wyrwicki and brother-in-law, Jean Velander.
