Jerome Olesch

Jerome Olesch, 76 year old resident of Ham Lake, MN formerly of Little Falls, MN, died on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Unity Hospital in Fridley, MN. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 7 at 10:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN, with Chaplain Greggory Valentine officiating.Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 6 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service and from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Jerome Olesch was born on June 21, 1937 in Little Falls, MN to the late Roman and Bernadine Robinson. He grew up and attended school in Little Falls, MN. Jerome enlisted into the United States Navy on June 16, 1959 at the 9th Naval District, Great Lakes, Illinois. He was honorably discharged on March 1, 1961.He was united in marriage to Alice M. Stumpf on June 23, 1962 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN.The couple moved to Blaine, MN.Jerome worked for HauensteinBurmeister Passenger Elevators for over 30 years as a foreman.The couple retired and moved to Little Falls, MN. Alice died on October 16, 2004 and Jerome continued living in Little Falls, MN.He then moved into the Alverna Apartments in Little Falls and resided there for 13 months.He moved to Ham Lake, MN, to be close to his daughter, Paulette.Jerome enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, telling jokes, watching Western movies, the Minnesota Vikings, playing cards and pool at the Senior Center, and going to the casino. He could bs with the best of them.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Paulette Patricia (Roger) Rickey of Ham Lake, MN; son, Paul Duane (Leisha) Olesch of Savannah, GA; siblings, Duane (Shirley) Olesch, Chuck (Linda) Olesch, Larry Butch (Marlene) Olesch, Donna (John) Poppen, Patty (Butch) Poppen and Cindy Rowen all of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Jessica Ann, April Ann, Shannon Marie, Nicholas Richard, Adam Joseph and Jeremy Michael; great-grandchildren, Taylin T-bug Rickey, Tanaya Rickey, Brock Mevissen, Addison Karolevitz, Lily Ann Ritter, Benjamin Kuharik, Timmy Kuharik, Olivia Washburn, Danny Washburn, Skyler Rickey, Aalyiah Rickey and Emily Rickey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Bernadine; wife, Alice Olesch and siblings, Robert and Linda.
