JanMarie "Jan" Weidenbach

JanMarie Jan Weidenbach, 53 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Saturday, December 7 at the Long Prairie Hospital, surrounded by her family and close friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday the 13th of December at 11:00 a.m. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday all at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN.

The burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN.

Jans family was the light of her life, and she would do anything for her friends and family.Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Craig Weidenbach of Little Falls, MN; children, Matheu (Angela) Weidenbach, Antonia Weidenbach, Ammanda (Steve) Rothleutner, Jon (Tara) Weidenbach, Lucas (girlfriend, Jackie Peterson) Weidenbach, David Weidenbach, Joshua Weidenbach, Jacob Weidenbach, Nickolas Weidenbach, Ammelia Weidenbach, Alana Weidenbach, Amber Weidenbach, and her shared daughter, Crystal Wieshalla; mother, Shirley Kulla of Pine River, MN; sister, Jane McNamara of Backus, MN and her grandchildren, Janna Weidenbach, Brayden Fuder, Mason Rothleutner and Greyson Weidenbach, and countless friends and acquaintances.

Jan was born May 9, 1960 to Frank and Shirley (Musselman) Kulla. She grew up in Pine River, MN and graduated from Pine River High School with the class of 1978. Jan attended the Brainerd Vocational School where she received a data processing diploma. She then furthered her education by attending the Brainerd Community College where she received her Associates of Arts Degree. She met her future husband, Craig Weidenbach while attending college. He worked tirelessly to convince woo her, until, finally, the couple was united in marriage on October 30, 1981 in Little Falls, MN. The couple lived in Randall, MN for a few years until moving to Little Falls, MN, 27 years ago.

Jan was always known as a woman of many skills and passions, and her many causes show that.She was most recently working as a Paraprofessional with the Little Falls Community Schools. She had a real passion for the children of Morrison County, and was active with the following groups: the Circle of Parents, Love and Logic, the Morrison County Drop In Center, and the Morrison County Child Protection Team. Jan was also an active volunteer within Morrison County. She was a coordinator for the Morrison County Dare Program raising money for the Fun Night and the Graduation. She was a member of the Parent Teachers Association at Lincoln School and the Parent Teacher Organization at the Little Falls Middle School. Jan treasured her time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and her many, many friends. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing and making jewelry especially charm bracelets. Jan enjoyed attending community events and socializing with her many friends within the community. She found rest and relaxation at the Green Prairie Fish Lake Beach and her countless shopping trips to the local Wal-Mart store.
Jan lived a rich, wonderful life.She had a joyous spirit and a true commitment to helping her community and others.That life was full of her family, friends, love, and she will be equally celebrated and missed.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred and the family will designate the memorials to Jans favorite charities.
