James Udy

James (Jay) Adams Udy, 31, of Little Falls, MN passed away unexpectedly February 20, 2011 in Golden, CO. Funeral Services will be held at11:00 A.M. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at Little Falls Alliance Church, officiated by Pastor Phil Ronzheimer . Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Friday, Feb. 25th at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and at the church one hour prior to the service. Jay was born February 14, 1980 in Salt Lake City, UT to Jeffery L. Udy Sr and Stella Sue Adams. Jay moved with his family to South Carolina and then on to the Dallas/Ft Worth area in Texas, where he spent most of his school years. Jay moved to Little Falls his junior year, 1996, and has spent his remaining years here in Minnesota. Jay was united in marriage to Shannyn Lynn Meyer April 19, 2002. Jay and Shannyn have four children, Reed Mitchell, Leanne Sue, Austin James, and Haley Jo. A family man above everything else, Jay enjoyed spending every moment possible with his wife and children. Jay loved fishing, playing ball, golfing, and nature walks with his children. Jay was enthusiastic, energetic, and fun loving. The party started when Jay walked into the room. He was also very compassionate, understanding, and filled with encouragement. Jay never met a stranger; he had two hundred best friends and innumerable acquaintances in his life. A husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend; James Adams Udy will be forever loved. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Shannyn, his sons Austin and Reed, and his daughters Leanne and Haley Jo, also his father Jeffery Udy Sr, (Lisa) and mother Stella Sue Adams, of Little Falls, MN. Jay is survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Jeffery Jr (Sheila) of Zimmerman, MN, Jeremy (Jamie), Jill, Layla, Josh, and Layne of Little Falls. Jay has eight nephews and nieces, Bryce, Peyton, Jaelyn, Jace, Bryce, Kylee, Rayna, Rhyis, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents Mark J. and Renetta Udy, William S. and Helen Adams of Utah. Arrangements are with Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service of Little Falls, MN.
