James Storkamp

James Storkamp James P. Storkamp, 64 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, died Monday, November 26 at his home in Little Falls, MN. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 3 at the Camp Ripley Chapel inside the main gates with Rev. Merril Kindall A visitation will be held on Monday at the Camp Ripley Chapel from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. A photo ID will be required to enter the main gates. James Peter Storkamp was born January 31, 1948 in St. Cloud, MN to the late Albert and Pauline (Klein) Storkamp. He grew up in the Pierz area and attended high school in Pierz, MN. He graduated from Pierz Memorial High with the class of 1966. He enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard on August 10, 1967. He served his country until he was honorably discharged on May 3, 1991. James lived in Morrison County all of his life. He worked as an auto mechanic in the Little Falls area. Jim enjoyed camping, going to swap meets, golfing, fishing, hunting and auto body work. He enjoyed tinkering with his own personal boats. James was a life time member of the American Legion. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Carrie Storkamp of Lastrup, MN, Angel (Shawn) Karnes of Burtrum, MN; brother, Bob (Vi) Storkamp of Becker, MN; sister-in-law, Darcy Jamma of Pierz, MN; grandchildren, Amanda, Tanda, Austin, Morgen, James, Alex, Jason and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rollie and an infant sister, Mary. Casket Bearers will be: Chris Storkamp, Craig Storkamp, Kyle Storkamp, Brandon Storkamp, Shawn Karnes, Tony Hollermann. Memorials are preferred to the family of James Storkamp.
