Jack Capko, 9 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Monday, November 21 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 26 at 11:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Long Prairie, MN. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 25 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church. A parish prayer will be said at 5:30 P.M. Friday evening at the church. Memorials are preferred to the family Jack Capko. Jack Capko was born in Long Prairie, Minnesota, on February 15, 2002, to Maryrose (Doroff) Capko and Jerry Capko. Jack attended Mary of Lourdes preschool, kindergarten in Swanville, and was in the 3rd grade at Mary of Lourdes Elementary School. Jack enjoyed many sports especially soccer and hockey where he was a Squirt goalie. At home, Jack helped on the farm primarily as a skid loader operator and calf nutritionist. Jack had a delightful sense of humor. He loved to laugh. Jack had a tender heart when it came to animals. He had a parrot named Charlie, a dog named Jackson, a horse named Stormy, and a cat named Gizmo. He was a collector of Transformers and Bakugans. His favorite color was red. Jack loved traveling with his family, and although he got to swim with dolphins and stingrays, he loved swimming in hotel pools almost just as much. Some of his favorite places to visit were Florida, Alabama, New Mexico, and most recently Yellowstone National Park. Jack died as a result of injuries sustained in a four-wheeler accident. He passed from this life to new life on Monday, November 21, 2011, surrounded by family. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jerome and Maryrose Capko of Little Falls, MN; brother, Jared Capko of Little Falls, MN; his grandmothers, Lorraine Doroff of Long Prairie, MN and Rosemary Capko of Swanville, MN and an uncle Lawrence Capko of Swanville, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Capko and Sylvester Doroff and also by his hockey coach, Verd Anez. Memorials are preferred to the family of Jack Capko.
