Isaodre Izzy Zilka

Isadore "Izzy" Zilka Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, December 7, 2006, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Flensburg, MN. Visitation 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Interment in the parish cemetery. Isadore was born on June 17, 1927 in Culdrum Township, Morrison County to Frank & Agnes (Stoltman) Zilka. He grew up on the family farm and attended School District #31. Isadore owned and operated the family dairy farm with his brother, Stanley, until 1969. In 1970, they moved to Flensburg. Isadore loved farming and enjoyed fishing. He was blessed with an excellent memory and was the family historian. His family will remember him for his deep faith in God, good work ethic, kindness, patience and sense of humor. He was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church. Isadore is survived by his brother, Stanley, of Flensburg, sisters, Marcella Matteson of Excelsior and Teresa Zilka of Chanhassen and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Agnes Zilka, sisters, Lucille Zilka and Gert Prozinski, brothers-in-law, Herb Matteson and Ted Prozinski and nephew, Jerel Prozinski.
