Isabel Albright, age 92, of Rice, MN, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the St. Cloud Hospital Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN with Rev. Laurn Virnig officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Friday, May 16 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton and from 9-10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Christian Mothers Rosary will be said at 4:30, American Legion Auxiliary Prayer at 6:30 followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Isabel was born March 22, 1916 in McGrath, MN to the late John and Minerva (Grow) Zimpel. She grew up in McGrath, MN and graduated from McGrath High School. After high school, she worked as a nanny in Milwaukee, WI. She attended St. Cloud State University and received a degree in education. She was united in marriage to Ralph Albright on June 24, 1941 in McGrath, MN. Ralph served his Country during World War II and Isabel riveted plane parts during the war for Harvester Silo Co. After the war, the couple moved to Foley, MN, where Isabel taught school in Ogilvie, Rice, Gilman and Foley, MN. She retired from teaching in 1983. Isabel enjoyed bird watching (especially song birds), flowers, gardening, quilting and watching the Lawrence Welk Show. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. She was also always welcome into the Krueger home where she spent many family get-togethers. Isabel was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Christian Women in Royalton, MN. She was a member of the Royalton American Legion Post#137 Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Birthday Club. She is survived by her children, Karen Schellinger and husband, Francis, of Avon, MN, Kim Albright of Little Falls, MN, Mike Albright and wife, Debra, of Royalton, MN, Patrick Albright and wife, Gail, of Royalton, MN and Dale Albright of Innsbruck, Austria; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; brother, John Zimpel and wife, Shirley, of Ft. Meyers, FL; sisters, Loretta Belanger of Hinckley, MN, Edith McPherson of Buffalo, MN and Henrietta McNulty of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minerva (Grow) Zimpel; siblings, Filby, Lucille, Leona, Adele, Harriet, infant twins and Bea.
