Henry "Junior" Krueger

Henry Junior Krueger, age 82, of Little Falls, MN, passed away, Friday, May 31, 2013, at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, MN.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Greg Tomhave officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 and 9:30 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 all at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN.

Interment with military honors by the Royalton American Legion and the Camp Ripley Honor Guard.

Henry Junior Reinhard Krueger was born on May 4, 1931 in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota the son of Henry & Bertha (Skuza) Krueger.Junior enlisted in the United States Army on July 30, 1952, served during the Korean Conflict, and was honorably discharged on June 9, 1954.He was united in marriage to Bernice Agnes Wollak on July 26, 1955.His work career included working in the mines in Ely, MN, owning Krueger Standard Station in Royalton and Hanks Standard Station in Little Falls, working in the hospitals in Little Falls and Hastings, worked for the Little Falls Water Treatment Plant, worked at Hennepin Paper Mill in Little Falls, and farming in the Little Falls area.His goal was to be the first farmer in the field each spring.Junior enjoyed watching old westerns and court shows on TV, playing the guitar and harmonica, visiting with family and friends, and playing cards.Even though he could not read music, he could play any song after listening to it a couple of times.Most people remember Junior with a toothpick in his mouth or whistling a tune.He was a member of the Royalton American Legion Post #137.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Therese (James) Waddell of Little Falls, MN; brother, Leroy (Renee Holthaus) Krueger of Royalton, MN; sister, Pat Nelson of Hudson, WI, and grandchildren, Melissa (Nathan) Clark, Christopher Konsor, Jessica (Kris) Ambuehl, James (Angie) Waddell III, Nicole (Ben) Andres, Abby (Shawn Solomonson) Waddell, Ashley (Brent) Walkoviak, Zachary (Brittany Davis) Vasilauskas, and Matthew Waddell; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sara, Emma, Eliza Clark and nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bertha; wife, Bernice; son, David Krueger; daughter, Mary Jo Hedburg; grandson, Brandon Vasilauskas; brothers, Clarence, Harold, Jerome, Victor and Vernon Krueger and many other extended family members.
